We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). In addition to our 'regular' services, we are committed to providing tailored therapies to specific groups of people and helping those who would otherwise find it difficult to access our therapies and classes.
This work is made possible with the help of charitable grants and your generous donations.
Our mission
We believe that our services should be available to all, regardless of physical or financial circumstances, physical or or mental health, neurodoversity, age, race, gender or family circumstances. We also have skills and facilities that we believe can be of particular benefit to people with specific needs.
As a not-for-profit community interest company (CIC), we are committed to acting on these beliefs by
- investing our income back into our community service, ‘paying it forward’ rather than taking profits or paying shareholders
- inviting donations from individuals and companies
- welcoming grants from local and national awarding bodies.
What we’re doing
Since we opened in September 2019, continuing now and into the future:
- We’ve helped and continue to help a wide range of people in our community to
- attend our classes, including our regular timetabled classes, specialised classes and one-to-ones
- benefit from floatation therapies, sauna therapies, massage therapies and therapeutic treatments
- benefit from other therapies including music therapy, art therapy and talking therapies.
- We provide free, specialised, grant-funded therapy programmes to meet specific needs (see below for details).
- We help to tackle financial barriers through concessionary pricing and some subsidised activities.
- We help some people with reduced mobility to attend the Centre by providing lifts.
- And during the Covid lockdowns we came to people who couldn’t get out, providing individual, distanced sessions through their windows.
We also invest in making the Centre as accessible as we can, both in its design and by including specialised equipment and staff training.
This all has a heavy financial cost and is made possible not only by grants but, crucially, by the generous support of our members, clients and donors.
Please read on for more about our projects.

“Do you know that, in addition to direct donations, if you kindly chose Unity for your studio membership or spa membership, or you have a massage, float or sauna with us, a percentage of your payment goes towards us helping those in need in our community. We are a not-for-profit and all our income after costs goes straight back to where it should be – within our community.” – Sevanti
What we’re doing with grant support
Charitable grant awards also provide an indispensible contribution to our community work. With the kind support of grant-awarding charities and other bodies we are providing, and have provided, a range of sometimes vital, specialised free therapy programmes to meet specific needs in our community. In no particular order, these past and present programmes include:

Future Goals
We currently have a number of projects at various stages of creation and funding. These include projects to provide or assist with
- Support for people living with particular disabilities and, significantly, their carers
- Further supportive projects for seniors
- Support for young people aged 14-18, a hidden group that’s in immense need after the Covid crisis
- Outdoor support for people living with particular disabilities and people who are neurodivergent
- Yoga for people who are blind and people who are experiencing or living with chronic fatigue
- Further support for refugees
- Art therapy and music therapy
- Work towards our goals of ever greater energy efficiency and, longer term, net zero
Some of these may attract grant funding. Others depend on the kindness of donors. Please donate today.
If you have any ideas of proposals for future projects or support, or if you would like to donate your specialist skills, please let our lovely fundraising manager know.
Thank you for your support, helping us to help others.
