Cancellations, changes, no-shows, charges and refunds
When you book a Unity Centre class place or appointment, you are committing to attend. If you need to cancel your booking, or change the time or day, please do so as soon as possible.
The best and easiest way to cancel or change your booking is to log into your account here or on the Unity Centre app.
Once you're logged in, select the appointment or class (listed in your
Schedule) and press '
Cancel'. You can then make a new booking if you wish.
If this isn't possible, you can instead change or cancel a booking by emailing reception@being-in-unity.com, calling 01273 778400 or visiting us during reception opening hours. We do not guarantee to pick up emails and voicemails straight away and do not guarantee, if you request a change, that your preferred replacement appointment or class will still be available when we look into your request. You may have better peace of mind if you log into your account straight away to secure a time.
We cannot accept cancellations or change requests via any other email address, social media or messaging.
Spa appointments: minimum notice of cancellation
To avoid being charged for a cancelled or changed appointment, you must give us at least 24 hours' notice of any cancellation or change, except in the case of a medical or health emergency.
- If you give us at least this much notice, we will return your treatment to your Unity account for rebooking on a different date or time (which you can do straight away online if you wish, or whenever suits you ... or speak to our reception team)
- If you cancel or change with less than the minimum notice, you will continue to be charged in full for the affected appointment, with no refund available.
- If you fail to attend, without having given us proper notice of cancellation (a 'no show'), you will continue to be charged in full for the affected appointment, with no refund available.
- If you're more than fifteen minutes late for an appointment, there is no guarantee that the appointment will take place but you will continue to be charged for the full appointment, with no refund or part refund available. Whether or not the therapist will be able to provide a shortened appointment will be entirely at the therapist's discretion. It will not be possible to run past the scheduled end time for the appointment.
Classes: minimum notice of cancellation
To avoid being charged for a cancelled class booking, you must give us at least 24 hours' notice, except in the case of a medical or health emergency.
- Non-members and class card holders:
- If you give us at least this much notice of a cancellation, we will credit your Unity account or class card with an unused class, for you to book at a different time or date (which you can do online straight away if you wish, or whenever suits you ... or speak to our reception team).
- If you cancel with less than the minimum notice, you will continue to be charged in full for the class and no refund will be available.
- If you fail to attend, without having given us proper notice of cancellation (a 'no show'), you will continue to be charged in full for the class, with no refund available.
- If you are more than five minutes late for a class, you will not be admitted and will be treated as a no show.
- Studio members and class pass holders:
- If you book a place and then cancel or change it with at least this much notice, you'll be freeing up the place for someone else with our thanks 😊.
- If you book a place and then cancel or change it with less than the minimum notice, we will automatically debit your card with a late-cancellation charge: 50% of the class price.
- If you book a place and then do not cancel and do not attend (a 'no show'), we will automatically debit your card with a no-show charge, which is the full price of the class.
- If you are more than five minutes late for a class, you will not be admitted and will be treated as a no show.
- These conditions and charges form part of your membership or class pass agreement.
Workshop cancellations
Cancellations of places at Unity-run workshops will be treated the same as class place cancellations for non-members. Cancellation policies for any third-party workshop will be as stipulated by the workshop organiser.
With regret
We regret having to take this step, as we understand that plans can change. However, when bookings are cancelled at short notice, it often means we don't have enough time to offer those slots to others. This has an impact not only on our teachers and therapists but also on fellow members who may have missed out. And it affects our ability to continue providing the community wellbeing services that lie at the heart of what we do.
Refunds
Our refunds policy forms part of the terms and conditions of your appointment or booking and can be found here. This policy also explains what happens on the rare occasions we (Unity) may be obliged to cancel or postpone an appointment or class.
